I recently have come across a few materials that I have found to be very helpful both in my career and my personal life. I have found these materials to be helpful enough that I want to share them with you.
#1 – Micheal Hyatt’s Five Days to Your Best Year Ever
I like to think I have a pretty good grasp on how to set and accomplish a goal. But, this material was much better than anything I have used thus far. It consists of five short videos and action steps. Anyone can use it. If you would like to make this year one of your best, I highly recommend it.
#2. Mark Waltz’s Lasting Impressions: From Visiting to Belonging
I am a research junkie. I am constantly looking at websites, reading books, blogs, making phone calls, etc., etc. looking for ways to improve our system of helping guests get involved. This book is one of the best I have read. It is an easy read with challenging questions and practical steps. I highly recommend it.
#3 Mark Waltz’s First Impressions: Creating Wow Experiences in Your Church
This a great companion read to Mark’s other book. Again, a very easy read and very practical. I recommended this book to a friend of mine and told him that Chapter 5 alone is worth the cost of the book. If you are involved in helping guests get plugged into the life of your church, this is a must read for you.
I hope these recommendations help you get the most out of 2014.
