One More

Do people ever bug you? I mean have you ever had a person rub you the wrong way causing you to not want to be around him/her? Me too.

I’m not going to go into details, but there’s a person that I have had an issue with in the past causing me to not want to be in his/her presence. In fact, when I saw this person the other day, my mind immediately uttered these words, “I have no use for ….” (I filled in the blank with the person’s name).

No sooner than those words filled my head, did the Holy Spirit reminded me that Jesus had a use for me when I was at my worst. In fact, He had such a use for me that He died for me on the cross. Romans 5:8 says, But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

This caused an overwhelming sense of regret and led me to repent for my unChristlike thought. It broke my heart. Christ loves me and loves this person. As a follower of Christ, I have received a love that I’m supposed to extend to others. Especially to those who rub me the wrong way. Scripture also tells us it is easy to love those who love us, the challenge is to love those who don’t love you.

I’m now praying for an opportunity to show this person God’s love. I’m praying that I can get a chance to reconcile and lead this person to Christ. Would you pray with me? Would you pray that I have a chance to reach out in love so one more can come to know His love and His grace? And would you pray that my heart continues to become a heart that beats in sync with Christ’s heart?

Who do you need to reach out to in love and grace?
